Song: Brahmajāla Sutta – The Net of Views

Song: Brahmajāla Sutta – The Net of Views

(Intro)
Who speaks the truth? Who's really right?
Or are we right... because we cling so tight?

(Verse 1)
The world is filled with countless claims,
“That it exists,” “it doesn't,” “death ends all things.”
Some believe that everything lasts forever,
Others insist that all must fade away.

(Pre-Chorus)
Debates go on without an end,
Because the mind still wants to say, “This is true.”

(Chorus)
Caught within... the net of views,
Woven by the judgments of the mind.
“This is how the world must be,” we say,
And then mistake our thoughts for truth.

The more we argue, the tighter it binds,
The more we cling, the heavier it grows.
If we see clearly... we can let it go,
No need to stand upon any view.

(Verse 2)
Some are lost within the distant past,
Some chase answers in the days ahead.
Some hold tightly to the thought, “This is me,”
Some are confused, not knowing who they are.

(Pre-Chorus)
Every thought the mind creates,
Has its roots in craving deep inside.

(Bridge)
No need to answer what the world truly is,
Just know the mind... when thoughts arise.
See them appear, and then pass away,
No need to cling... no need to follow.

(Soft Hook)
Ultimate truth... is not in words,
But in a mind untouched by fabrication.

(Outro)
When we're no longer trapped in “right” and “wrong,”
The heart breaks free from that vast net.
No need to conquer anyone at all,
And thus we're free from losing our way.
