ผุสติสูตรเผยกฎแห่งกรรม “ความรุนแรงย้อนกลับสู่ผู้ก่อ” ชี้สันติภาพโลกเริ่มจากการไม่เบียดเบียนผู้อื่น

พระไตรปิฎกย้ำหลักธรรมใน “ผุสติสูตร” ว่าการกระทำทุกอย่างย่อมมีผลตามเหตุ ผู้ที่เบียดเบียนผู้บริสุทธิ์ย่อมได้รับผลแห่งกรรมของตนเอง เปรียบดังการซัดฝุ่นละเอียดทวนลม ซึ่งย่อมหวนกลับสู่ผู้กระทำ หลักธรรมดังกล่าวได้รับการมองว่าเป็นแนวทางสำคัญในการสร้างสันติภาพโลก ด้วยการยับยั้งความรุนแรงตั้งแต่ต้นเหตุ

หลักธรรมใน ผุสติสูตร พระไตรปิฎก เล่มที่ 15 พระสุตตันตปิฎก เล่มที่ 7 สังยุตตนิกาย สคาถวรรค นำเสนอหลักแห่งเหตุและผลของการกระทำ หรือกฎแห่งกรรม ซึ่งสะท้อนว่าการกระทำทุกอย่างย่อมนำมาซึ่งผลที่สอดคล้องกับการกระทำนั้น

ในพระสูตรกล่าวว่า วิบากหรือผลของกรรม ย่อมไม่เกิดแก่ผู้ที่ไม่ได้ทำกรรม แต่ย่อมตกแก่ผู้ที่เป็นผู้กระทำกรรมนั้นเอง ผู้ที่ก่อความเดือดร้อนหรือเบียดเบียนผู้อื่น ย่อมเป็นผู้รับผลแห่งการกระทำของตนในที่สุด

พระพุทธเจ้าทรงอธิบายเพิ่มเติมว่า หากบุคคลใดประทุษร้ายผู้ที่ไม่ประทุษร้าย เป็นผู้บริสุทธิ์และปราศจากกิเลส บาปกรรมย่อมย้อนกลับมาสู่ผู้กระทำ เปรียบเสมือนการโปรยฝุ่นละเอียดทวนกระแสลม ซึ่งสุดท้ายย่อมปลิวกลับมาสู่ผู้โปรยเอง

เมื่อนำหลักธรรมในผุสติสูตรมาประยุกต์ใช้กับการสร้างสันติภาพโลก จะเห็นได้ว่าความขัดแย้ง สงคราม การก่อการร้าย ความเกลียดชัง และการละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชน ล้วนเริ่มต้นจากการกระทำที่เบียดเบียนผู้อื่น เมื่อความรุนแรงถูกตอบโต้ด้วยความรุนแรง โลกก็เข้าสู่วงจรแห่งการแก้แค้นที่ไม่สิ้นสุด

หลักธรรมในพระสูตรจึงเสนอว่า การสร้างสันติภาพที่ยั่งยืนต้องเริ่มจากการยุติการเบียดเบียนทั้งทางกาย วาจา และใจ พร้อมทั้งเคารพศักดิ์ศรีของเพื่อนมนุษย์ทุกคน ไม่ว่าจะมีเชื้อชาติ ศาสนา วัฒนธรรม หรืออุดมการณ์ที่แตกต่างกัน

Phusati Sutta Reveals the Law of Karma: Violence Ultimately Returns to Its Perpetrator, Offering a Path to World Peace

The Phusati Sutta, found in the Samyutta Nikaya of the Pali Canon, presents a timeless teaching on the law of karma, emphasizing that every action inevitably produces corresponding consequences.

The sutta explains that the result of karma never falls upon one who has not performed the action; it inevitably reaches the one who created it. Those who harm others will ultimately experience the consequences of their own deeds.

The Buddha further teaches that when someone harms an innocent person who is peaceful, pure, and free from ill will, the evil committed returns to the wrongdoer. He compares it to throwing fine dust against the wind—it inevitably blows back upon the one who cast it.
