In this dialogue, the wanderer Vacchagotta questioned the Buddha about ten metaphysical views concerning the universe, the self, and the destiny of an enlightened being after death. Rather than endorsing speculative answers, the Buddha explained that attachment to such views does not end suffering.
The Buddha directed attention to the Five Aggregates—form, feeling, perception, mental formations, and consciousness—revealing them as impermanent, unsatisfactory, and not-self. When attachment and ignorance cease, liberation naturally follows. The Buddha illustrated this realization by comparing it to a fire that goes out because its fuel has been exhausted. The fire has not "gone somewhere"; rather, the conditions sustaining it have disappeared.
This timeless principle offers valuable guidance for the AI era. Modern societies are increasingly influenced by vast amounts of information, competing narratives, algorithmic recommendations, and digital polarization. Without wisdom and ethical reflection, AI may amplify bias and conflict. Guided by truthfulness, compassion, transparency, accountability, and respect for human dignity, however, AI can become a powerful instrument for peace and global cooperation.

พระพุทธองค์ทรงสอนให้เห็นความจริงของขันธ์ ๕ ได้แก่ รูป เวทนา สัญญา สังขาร และวิญญาณ ว่าเป็นสิ่งไม่เที่ยง เป็นทุกข์ และไม่ใช่ตัวตน เมื่อความยึดมั่นหมดสิ้น กิเลสก็ดับลง เปรียบเสมือนไฟที่ดับเพราะเชื้อเพลิงหมด ไม่ใช่เพราะไฟเดินทางไปยังสถานที่แห่งใด แต่เพราะเหตุแห่งการเกิดไฟสิ้นสุดลง
