On Campus, Off Campus, which is more Intensive Learning?

In Thailand , students of International Buddhist Studies college of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University have visited few community-based approaches have been adopted in Buddhist traditions and peace education , IBSC students had opportunities to visit villages and live in villagers community learning the appropriate communications to interact with people. In establishing community-based education for graduate students, clarification of its learning effects is required. A community-based educational program was started in all courses at International Buddhist Studies College (IBSC), Mahachulalongkomrajavidyalaya University, and one of the main elements in this program is conducting classes outside the college.

The purpose of this study was to investigate using Academic articles text-analysis methods how the off-campus program affects students.
IBSC students who participated in the program achieved different types of learning experience through the off-campus classes. They also had a positive impression of the community-based experience and interaction with the villager local residents, which is considered a favorable outcome. Off-campus programs could be a useful educational approach for students in Buddhist university in the modern sciences era.
