On October 20, 2566 (2023), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand organized a memorial service and repatriated the bodies of eight Thai workers who died in the conflict in Israel, back to Thailand. The ceremony was held at the Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv, Israel.
Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labor, assigned Mr. Siriphol Duangsodsri, Deputy Minister of Labor, Mr. Tanasak Tweekulkit, Ministerial Advisor, and Mr. Pairoj Chotikasathien, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, as representatives to receive the bodies of the Thai workers who died in the unrest in Israel. They also participated in laying wreaths to express condolences. Mr. Jakrapong Saengmanee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ms. Orna Sagiv, Israeli Ambassador to Thailand, along with executives from the Ministry of Labor, also participated in the ceremony at the Customs Free Zone building, Suvarnabhumi Airport, Samut Prakan Province.
