27 - 7- 2568 Tensions remain high along the Thai-Cambodian border. A Cambodian rocket struck a civilian area in Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province, killing one person and injuring another. Thailand has returned the bodies of 12 Cambodian soldiers killed in the Phu Makheu operation.
Colonel Ritcha Suksuwanon, Deputy Spokesperson for the Royal Thai Army, confirmed that Cambodia launched a rocket into Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province. Thai officials are currently conducting an investigation at the scene, and the army will provide an official statement shortly.
At approximately 6:00 PM, Cambodian troops fired a rocket that landed in a residential area in Bueng Malu Subdistrict, Kantharalak District, Sisaket. Initial reports confirmed one death and one injury, with several homes severely damaged.
Thai Army Returns 12 Cambodian Soldiers Killed in Phu Makheu Operation
Earlier today (July 27, 2025), the Thai military handed over the bodies of 12 Cambodian soldiers who were killed during the Phu Makheu operation in Kantharalak District. The handover took place at the Chong Sa-Ngam Permanent Border Checkpoint in Phu Sing District, Sisaket Province. Cambodian rescue teams and military personnel coordinated the transportation of the remains back to Cambodia.
Colonel Ritcha stated that at 4:30 PM, Thai officials conducted the formal handover of the 12 bodies of Cambodian soldiers who died in the conflict at Phu Makheu. The transfer took place at the Chong Sa-Ngam permanent checkpoint in Phrai Phatthana Subdistrict, Phu Sing District, Sisaket Province, so the remains could be returned to their hometowns for religious rites.
This action reflects adherence to universal humanitarian principles and shows respect for those who died in battle, regardless of nationality. It embodies the spirit of honorable military service, recognizing the shared burdens of soldiers on all sides during conflict situations.

พ.อ.ริชฌา สุขสุวานนท์ รองโฆษกกองทัพบก เปิดเผยว่า ยืนยันว่ากัมพูชายิงจรวดลง อ.กันทรลักษ์ จ.ศรีสะเกษ ขณะนี้เจ้าหน้าที่อยู่ระหว่างลงพื้นที่ตรวจสอบ และกองทัพบกเตรียมชี้แจงข้อมูลให้ทราบต่อไป
ทั้งนี้เวลา 18.00 น. ทหารกัมพูชายิงจรวด เข้าใส่บ้านเรือนประชาชน ที่ต.บึงมะลู อ.กันทรลักษ์ จ.ศรีสะเกษ เบื้องต้นเจ้าหน้าที่ตรวจสอบพบว่ามีผู้เสียชีวิต 1 ราย และบาดเจ็บ 1 ราย นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่ามีบ้านเรือนเสียหายหลายหลัง
ทหารไทย ส่ง 12 ร่างทหารกัมพูชา จากปฏิบัติการภูมะเขือ กลับประเทศ
ขณะที่ช่วงบ่ายวันนี้ (27 ก.ค. 68) ทหารไทย นำร่างทหารกัมพูชา 12 นาย ซึ่งเสียชีวิตจากปฏิบัติการภูมะเขือ อ.กันทรลักษ์ จ.ศรีสะเกษ ส่งมอบให้ทหารกัมพูชา ที่บริเวณจุดผ่านแดนถาวรช่องสะงำ อ.ภูสิงห์ จ.ศรีสะเกษ โดยมีหน้าที่กู้ภัยจากกัมพูชา และทหาร ร่วมเคลื่อนย้ายร่างทั้ง 12 นายกลับไปประเทศกัมพูชา
โดยพ.อ.ริชฌา ระบุว่า เวลา 16.30 น. เจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายไทยได้ดำเนินการส่งมอบศพทหารกัมพูชาจำนวน 12 นาย ซึ่งเสียชีวิตจากการสู้รบในพื้นที่ภูมะเขือ ให้แก่เจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายกัมพูชา ณ จุดผ่านแดนถาวรช่องสะงำ ตำบลไพรพัฒนา อำเภอภูสิงห์ จังหวัดศรีสะเกษ เพื่อนำศพกลับไปประกอบพิธีทางศาสนาในภูมิลำเนาต่อไป
การดำเนินการดังกล่าวเป็นไปตามหลักมนุษยธรรมสากล และถือเป็นการให้เกียรติแก่ทหารที่เสียชีวิตในสมรภูมิ ไม่ว่าจะสังกัดฝ่ายใด สะท้อนถึงจิตวิญญาณของความเป็นทหารที่มีเกียรติและศักดิ์ศรี ซึ่งเข้าใจถึงหัวอกของผู้ปฏิบัติหน้าที่ในสถานการณ์ความขัดแย้ง ซึ่งล้วนปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตามบทบาทเพื่อประเทศของตน
สำหรับทหารกล้าของกองทัพบกไทย ผู้ที่สละชีพเพื่อปกป้องแผ่นดินไทยจะไม่ถูกลืม ความเสียสละของพวกเขาจะถูกจารึกไว้ในความทรงจำของประชาชนชาวไทย และจะมีผู้สานต่อภารกิจอันทรงเกียรตินี้ เพื่อปกป้องอธิปไตยของชาติไทยต่อไป
