“Theerarat” Visits Kantharalak, Provides Temporary Knockdown House to Family Whose Home Was Destroyed, Orders Urgent Installation of Electricity and Water, and Accelerates Repairs for Neighbors Following the “Ubon Model”
On August 17, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., Ms. Theerarat Samrejvanich, Deputy Minister of Interior, led a delegation to Muang Subdistrict, Kantharalak District, Sisaket Province, to visit and provide encouragement to the family of Mr. Naree Phakaew, whose home at No. 33, Ban Namyen, Village 5, was completely destroyed by shrapnel from an explosion.
Ms. Theerarat delivered a temporary knockdown house with 4 bedrooms, 1 living room, and 2 bathrooms, along with essential household supplies to ease the family’s hardship. She also instructed the Provincial Electricity Authority and the Provincial Waterworks Authority to expedite the installation of basic utilities so the family could safely move into their new temporary home immediately.
In addition, the Deputy Interior Minister inspected neighboring houses that suffered minor damage and directed Sisaket’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office to apply the “Ubon Model,” mobilizing students from local vocational and technical colleges to help repair damaged houses in the initial phase.
The site visit was joined by Pol. Lt. Gen. Surasit Sangphong, Assistant to the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Anupong Suksomnid, Governor of Sisaket, Mr. Thanaton Srinak, Director of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center Region 13 Ubon Ratchathani, along with local government officials, subdistrict chiefs, and village headmen, who together inspected the situation closely.
